for PARENTS

Welcome to Oceanside United Soccer Club's web page directed specifically to the parent(s) of our players. This page contains information that you, as a parent, should know about our programs as well as informative articles and stories. If there is any information about the club or soccer in general that you would like to see addressed on this page, please send an e-mail to info@ousc.com . We will do our best to get the information posted.

Interested in Coaching? Would you be willing to coach for the first time, but don't feel you have enough experience or time? Don't worry. We will provide training for new coaches and it only takes 2-3 hours a week! Without volunteer coaches, our program couldn't survive. Please don't hesitate to volunteer when you're registering your child(ren) for the Fall season.

FIFA's Laws of the Game

"For some reason, adults - some who can't even kick a ball - think it's perfectly okay to scream at children while they are playing soccer. How normal would it seem if a mother gave a six-year old some crayons and a coloring book and started screaming, 'Use the red crayon! Stay in the lines! Don't use yellow!'  You think that child would develop a passion for drawing? Most important, parents must realize that playing sports is a way for children to express themselves." - Claudio Reyna, U.S. Men's National Team World Cup Captain
