OUSC is saddened by the passing of our registrar, Karen Meagher. Over her decades of service to OUSC and the Oceanside community, Karen has been not just the Club registrar but also friend, family, program coordinator, director, board member, officer, confidant and advisor. There is not enough room nor time to list all of Karen’s attributes, accomplishments, achievements, and efforts on behalf of OUSC’s players and families; it will have to suffice to state that OUSC would not be half of what it is today without Karen’s tireless efforts and guidance. Similarly, Karen’s outstanding, long-time involvement and efforts in coordinating, organizing, and supervising OUSC’s special needs program are without equal and developed that program into the amazing one it is today. Today we mourn Karen’s passing, and the Club will honor her memory in a number of ways in the near future. Our condolences to Karen’s husband Mike, long time OUSC Board Member-former Club President, and their children Katie, Chris and Matt, all of whom played soccer for OUSC throughout their youth soccer careers, and who will always be part of the OUSC family.

2024-2025 Intramural Season Information:
****All players will need a size 3 soccer ball, u8 players need a size 4 soccer ball, shin guards, and water bottle. Players should arrive by 4:50 pm on training days so they can start on time at 5 pm.
Training is held at Oceanside Park and Saturday games are at the middle school.
Please note that other than pee wee's, all players in a specific age group/gender report at the same time… There are no teams, players will be divided into teams to play on Saturday based on who’s there and the age groups games will be spread across three fields so everybody has plenty of playing time.
Equipment: Munchkins only need sneakers. Pee Wee - U8 all need shin guards and soccer cleats. Pee Wee - U7 use a size 3 ball, and U8 uses a size 4 ball.

2024-2025 PROGRAM INFORMATION:
Intramurals
MUNCHKINS (2021 BIRTH YEAR) $195 (fall & spring)
Saturdays 9-10 AM (8 WEEKS IN FALL, 8 WEEKS IN SPRING)
Entry level program focusing on familiarity with the ball in a group environment, interacting w/peers. Concepts are introduced in a fun, engaging way by our professional trainers. Saturdays at 9:00 AM (8 weeks/sessions per season, fall & spring). $195/full year including program t shirt. $110 SPRING SEASON ONLY
BOYS & GIRLS PEE WEE (2020 BIRTH YEAR) $395 (fall & spring)
Continuation of Developmental Concepts, building on the Munchkin program. Our professional trainers introduce development of basic soccer skills in group setting and eventually break out into intra-squad 3 v 3 games. Twice weekly sessions are held, Friday at 5 pm (co-ed) and Saturday at 10 am for boys, 11 am for girls (8 weeks each season, 2 sessions per week = 32 sessions, fall & spring). $39/5full year including jersey. $220 SPRING SEASON ONLY
INTRAMURALS (2019-2018 BIRTH YEARS) U6 (2019),U7 (2018) $480 (fall & spring)
Includes 18 weeknight training sessions conducted by our Showtime Soccer trainers split between fall & spring. In addition, 8 Saturday Intramural matches each season that are supervised and coached by the professional training staff. Training sessions will be one hour long - U6 will train on Mondays at 5 pm, U7 will train on Wednesdays at 5 pm. $480 for full year, fall & spring, including uniform. $265 SPRING SEASON ONLY
U8 Intramurals (2017): $695 (fall & spring)
Includes 36 training sessions conducted by our Showtime Soccer trainers split between fall & spring. Training sessions are held twice a week, in addition to Saturday intramural matches (8 per season) that are supervised and coached by the professional training staff. Training sessions will be 1 hour long and held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5 pm, fall & spring, $690 for full year including uniform. $385 SPRING SEASON ONLY
U9 DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (2016 BIRTH YEAR) $1195 (fall & spring)
This program continues our training model and serves as an introduction to and preparation for future travel competitions. Includes 12 weeks of training in Fall and also 12 weeks in Spring, two nights per week, by our Showtime Soccer trainers, as well as an intrasquad (Oceanside players only) Friday night 5 pm 7 v 7 match with on field instruction by our Showtime Soccer trainers. In addition, all players will participate in Long Island Junior Soccer League matches with other towns, primarily held on Saturdays but occasionally on Sundays. Weeknight training sessions will be held Monday and Wednesday at 6 pm for the girls, and Tuesday and Thursday at 6 pm for the boys. This program will introduce match tactics and rapidly expand on the skills developed in intramurals and prep players for their next steps. $1,195 for the full year, fall & spring, includes uniform. Option to participate in Hershey Memorial Day Tournament and other local tournaments throughout the year. $660 SPRING SEASON ONLY

2015 Birth Year (u10): $1145 (fall & spring)
U10 Travel (2015):
This program escalates to a competitive level from our scaffolding training model and prepares players for move to a larger field and playing 9 v 9 when they reach u11. Includes 12 weeks of training in fall and also 12 in spring, two nights per week, by our Showtime Soccer trainers, as well as an intrasquad (Oceanside u10 travel players only) Friday night 6:15 pm 7 v 7 match with on field instruction by our Showtime Soccer trainers. In addition, all players are placed on OUSC teams within the Long Island Junior Soccer League for matches with other towns, and those teams also participate in the Long Island Cup. Team placement is by season, with teams changing regularly each fall and spring through u11. Weeknight training sessions will be held Monday and Wednesday at 7pm for the girls, and Tuesday and Thursday at 7 pm for the boys. $1,145 for the full year, players must purchase travel uniform kit separately. Option to participate in Hershey Memorial Day Tournament and other local tournaments throughout the year. $630 SPRING SEASON ONLY
2014 Birth Year (u11): $1375 (fall & spring)
Our travel players graduate to 9 v 9 match, on a field 20-30 yards longer and 15-20 yards wider than the u9 and u10 travel field. Buildout lines are removed, punting is introduced, and the program is designed to allow the players to continue to progress and develop as they approach full-sided, 11 v 11 soccer at u13. There may be movement between teams in between the fall and spring seasons, moving toward the goal is to make permanent rosters for teams as they enter u13. Thirty-six training sessions each season, 12 weeks of thrice weekly sessions (two nights of training and Friday night 7:30 pm intrasquad games with trainers on field to adapt to larger field with more players on it and new rules) plus Saturday Long Island Junior Soccer League matches and Long Island Cup competition. $1,375 for the full year, plus purchase of travel uniform kit. $760 SPRING SEASON ONLY
2013 Birth Year (u12): $1095 (fall & spring)
Our travel players continue to grow in the 9 v 9 match model, with heading now being introduced into the game/curriculum. The program is designed to allow the players to continue to progress and build upon their u11 experience as they approach full-sided, 11 v 11 soccer at u13. There may be movement between teams in between the fall and spring seasons, again moving toward the goal is to make permanent rosters for teams as they enter u13. Twenty-four training sessions each season, 12 weeks of twice weekly sessions plus Saturday Long Island Junior Soccer League matches and Long Island Cup competition. $1,095 for the full year, plus purchase of travel uniform if player doesn’t already have one from u10. $605 SPRING SEASON ONLY
2012 BIRTH YEAR AND EARLIER (U13+) $375 (fall & spring)
Players continue their participation in Long Island Junior Soccer League and other events that they plan/register for via their coach/trainer. Coach/trainer also sets out the training schedule/dates and training fees/tournament registrations are additional and are set and collected by the trainer coach. $375/full year per player – training/tournament fees and any uniform costs are additional. $210 SPRING SEASON ONLY
